Terms & Conditions

Deposit:

When you make a booking with Hirwaun Travel, you pay a deposit of £30 per person on all our coach holidays.

Balance:

The balance of the holiday must be paid four weeks before the date of departure. If you book within four weeks of departure then the full amount is due with the booking.

Change of booking:

If you wish to change your booking to another holiday in the brochure we will make the change provided we are informed no later than one month before your balance is due and subject to availability. Any alteration made by you later than the original balance date will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to cancellation charges as follows:

Prior to 42 days before departure – deposit only

28-42 days before departure – 30% of holiday cost

14-27 days before departure – 45% of holiday cost

7-13 days before departure – 60% of holiday cost

0-6 days before departure – 100% of holiday cost

Complaints:

If you have a complaint during your holiday, please inform the supplier of the service and your driver or guide. If the matter cannot be concluded at the time then write, within 28 days of returning, to Hirwaun Travel Ltd, 29 Merthyr Road, Hirwaun CF44 9PB or 55 Station Road, Hirwaun CF44 9TA.

Holiday Insurance:

As we do not hold the necessary authorisation we are unable to offer or advise on travel insurance matters. However, we can supply a leaflet from our preferred insurance brokers which will give you information on how to purchase travel insurance from them. We do advise that you take out adequate insurance cover.

Ferry Crossings:

Hirwaun Travel Ltd will not be liable for any costs incurred by passengers, due to any delay caused by the disruption to ferry services. In the unlikely event of delay, causing an extra night to be booked in a hotel, Hirwaun Travel will do their utmost to secure such booking but any extra cost is to be paid by the client. Any refunds or allowances made by the ferry company or hotel will be passed on to each client accordingly.

Reservation:

You can provisionally reserve your holiday over the telephone. When we receive your deposit, we will send you our confirmation and the contract is made between us.

Holiday Price:

Due to our Irish holidays being contracted with the hotels in Euros, we reserve the right to make a surcharge if the value of the pound falls below 1.10 euros. If we have to take this measure we will inform you at least one month before departure date. If you disagree with the surcharge you have the right to cancel your holiday and receive a full refund. Holiday prices include all coach travel, excursions, hotel accommodation and meals specified in the holiday description.

Changes Made by Us:

The arrangements for the holidays in this brochure are made many months in advance and changes are sometimes necessary. Most of the changes would be minor and we will endeavour to keep you informed. Day excursions may alter due to prevailing local conditions.

Cancellations Made by Us:

If it becomes necessary to cancel your holiday due to a lack of response you will be informed at least five weeks before departure. Where possible we will offer an alternative holiday, or otherwise return all monies paid to us.

Baggage and Personal Luggage:

Every effort will be made to look after your personal luggage, but they are always carried ‘at owners risk’. It is your responsibility however, to see that your luggage is on the correct coach. Assistance with handling will be given whenever practical but the responsibility remains with you at pick up points and hotels to ensure that your baggage and personal luggage are correctly labelled and placed on the correct coach.
